Golfer's Lower Back Selfcare

The most common injuries for golf players is not golfer's elbow, but lower back. All the twisting, bending down, picking up & lifting will put your back into risk. If you have injury your back, you should stop playing immediately. Rest yourself in a comfortable position, avoid any movement or exercise that cause pain. Put ice pack on injury area for 15 minutes and off 30 minutes, repeat to decrease pain & inflammation. You should also call in for massage treatments after the injury is not in acute stage.

Tips to avoid lowback injuries:

  • Bend your knee when pick up anything, not your back!
  • Don't carrying golf bag in your shoulders, push it instead.
  • Stretch before and after each golf game! (See picture for stretchs)
